Windows Update error 0x80D02002 occurs when the update fails to download or install due to network issues, corrupted files, or interference from antivirus or proxy settings
Disable antivirus, firewall, VPN, or proxy temporarily
Run Windows Update Troubleshooter from Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot
Open Command Prompt as administrator and run
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
sfc /scannow
Clear update cache
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits
ren C:WindowsSoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:WindowsSystem32catroot2 catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start bits
Restart your PC and check for updates
If it fails again, create a new administrator account and try updating
